There will be one additional planning meeting on Tuesday, May 29 at 7:00 p.m. to go over any final details at the Perkins Restaurant in Blaine.  Be prepared to cover the inventory of items you are planning to bring to Field Day and to discuss placement of the items at the field day site.  The revised plan and detail will be presented before the whole group on our June 1 meeting.  If you are planning to have equipment on site and cannot make the meeting please email (if you have not already) kc0lql@anokaradio.org with the items you plan to bring. Generally, the items we're interested in are:

  • Shelter (if any) and type (RV, Tent, etc)
  • Power source or power needs
  • Radio band (s) and likely modes
  • Feedline
  • Antenna / Antenna structure(s)
  • Logging computer status - can you bring a Windows-based PC-compatible with 802.11 wireless to run the logging software, or will you need one? Paper logging is also possible if the participant volunteers to key in their manual entries.
  • Please also list items that the club could use if needed for other stations. Thanks much and I hope to see some of you at the meeting.

Club Events
Several time a year the ACRC helps out at events like parades, festivals, fun runs, fire works and more. These events tend to be fun and several are great family events. There is nothing like having a guaranteed front row seat at a fireworks event or parade. Check out the club calendar for more information.

Do You Have Pictures of Club Events?
If you have pictures of club events and would like to see them up on our website or in our newsletter please make the digital photos or files available to either Shawn Rung KØSMR at Secretary@anokaradio.org or Tim Neu KCØLQL at kc0lql@anokaradio.org. Email is the best delivery method, but you can also send a CD, disk or flash drive to us with the pictures on, or even post them to a web or ftp site and email us the web address to download them.
