Centerville’s Summer Park Programs, including Festival of the Lakes 8K Walk/Run, Fete Des Lacs Parade & Fireworks, are fun for the whole family. The Anoka County Radio Club is pleased to provide additional communications support for these events. We are looking for members to help out with these events. Remember - These events are family friendly!
Fete Des Lacs Parade: Saturday, July 31: We will meet at Pete Alcock's house (1806 Main St) in Centerville by 8:30 a.m. We will deploy at 9:00 a.m. and the parade starts at 10 a.m. Please bring a 2-meter handheld with freshly charged batteries and a spare, if you have one, and any comfort items (chair, bug spray, sunscreen, water, etc.). This is a family-friendly event! Feel free to bring along the whole family to enjoy the parade! There will be a pot luck at Pete's house after the event for ACRC and Ham volunteers. Fete Des Lacs Fireworks: Friday, August 6: We will meet in the parking lot of the Ice Rink in the Lamotte Park (off of Centerville Rd) by 7:15 p.m. We will deploy at 9:00 p.m. The fireworks start at 10 p.m. Please bring a 2-meter handheld with freshly charged batteries and a spare, if you have one, and any comfort items (chair, bug spray, sunscreen, water, etc.). Festival of the Lakes 8K Walk/Run: Saturday, August 7: We will meet in the parking lot of the Ice Rink in the Lamotte Park (off of Centerville Rd) by 6:30 a.m. We will assign positions and stage at 7:00. The race will begin at 8:00 a.m. Please bring a 2-meter handheld with freshly charged batteries and a spare, if you have one, and any comfort items (chair, bug spray, sunscreen, water, etc.).
