June 28-29 ARRL Field Day Contest.
ACRC/ARRL Field Day is both a contest and an emergency preparedness exercise and by participation count, one of the largest ham radio activities of the calendar year. Approval permitting, we plan to be in the same location as last year. More details will be posted as they are available.
Blaine Festival Fireworks

On Tuesday, July 4 the Anoka County Radio Club will be assisting with communications at the Blaine Fireworks Festival. Members will meet at the southeast corner of Lot D off of 105th street. The club will be planning to do a pot luck meal before staging. Hope to see you all there. Please plan to be there by 5:30. You will need a 2M HT with good batteries, sun & bug defense, and anything you need to be comfortable (camping chair, etc).
Blaine Parade

On Saturday, June 28 (Field Day Saturday) the ACRC has been asked to assist with the Blaine parade. This is a family-friendly event where we deploy along the parade route to provide communications.
Please bring a charged 2-meter HT programmed with our event frequency of 145.520. A charged spare battery is also reccomended. A chair, water, sunscreen and bug spray are also good items to have on hand.

Fridley Parade

On Thursday, June 12 the Anoka County Radio Club will be running a tower trailer through the Fridley 49'ers parade. Volunteers may help decorate, walk and hand out candy, or ride along (seats limited).
Centerville Fete Des Lacs

July 15 - 19, 2024 is the Centerville Fete Des Lacs festival. The radio club helps with four events:
Thursday, July 16 - Public Safety Night, interested parties can meet at St. Genevieve church parking lot for radio demonstration.
Friday, July 18 - We will meet at Laurie Lamotte park for the fireworks at 6:30 (some food/rec time before deployment)
Saturday, July 19- We will meet at Laurie Lamotte Park at 6:00 AM <yawn> for the morning run activity.
Saturday, July 19 - We will meet at 1806 Main Street in Centerville at 9:30 for deployment to help with the parade. We should be done around 1:00PM.
Hams in the park

On the second Saturday of each month, local ham radio operators normally meet at the Long Lake Regional Park in New Brighton to operate, show off their gear and test ham radio related equipment. The event starts at noon. The next date for this event is May 10, 2025. This is an event of interest to ACRC members, but is not an ACRC event. Hope to see you there!
ACRC General Meeting

Our next General Membership meeting is on May 02, 2025 starting at 7:00 PM and will be held at the Blaine City Hall (Cloverleaf Room upstairs). Please use the West entrance.
General membership meetings are typically on the first Friday of the month or second Friday if it's a holiday week. In December, the Christmas party takes the place of the monthly general meeting. In September, our meeting is a pot-luck event we call our simple supper.

ACRC Board Meeting
Board meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of each month. The next board meeting date is May 27, 2025. We meet in person at the Centerville City Hall. The meeting is from 6:30-8:45PM. Any club members or guests are welcome to attend.

Club Events
Several time a year the ACRC helps out at events like parades, festivals, fun runs, fire works and more. These events tend to be fun and several are great family events. There is nothing like having a guaranteed front row seat at a fireworks event or parade. Check out the Calendar Page for more information.
General Meetings
You do not need to be a member to attend and family members of all ages are welcome. Each meeting will have a different topic for the month. There are ten General Meetings from January through June and again from September through December. We take the summer months off while everyone tend to be really busy having fun in the warm weather. General Meetings are normally held on the first Friday of the month, starting at 7:00 p.m. To view the minutes from these meetings, click on the Club Documents link.
Repeater
We sponsor a two-meter repeater at 146.670 MHz (114.8 PL tone). For more details on the club's repeater, please check out the Repeater page..
