Zane Grey was an author and master of the American western novel. An Ohio born dentist, Pearl Zane Grey spent many years under the Mogollon Rim writing "To The Last Man" and a dozen other Westerns with Arizona settings and characters. His prolific writings popularized the American cowboy as a taciturn, romantic figure.
